Increased controls announced for the Neum municipality area for the upcoming weekend

(Patria) - After the implemented measures expired on April 27, the Civil Protection Headquarters of the Neum municipality adopted new orders, which relate to the working hours of retail facilities and the execution of construction works. Retail stores in the Neum municipality are allowed to operate on weekdays from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

Citizens of BiH who headed to Neum today were surprised by the "confirmation of vehicle disinfection" which they had to pay five or 10 KM at the entrance to Neum, depending on whether it was a private car or a transport vehicle. Since the beginning of the pandemic, wheel disinfection has been mandatory, but it has not been charged for until today. The mayor of Neum, Živko Matuško, confirmed for N1 that the decision was made by the Civil Protection Headquarters, that the confirmation is charged by the Veterinary Station, and that the money will be spent on disinfectants, fuel, and personnel implementing this measure.

"The decision to ban earthworks and construction works in the Neum municipality remains in force, except for works that have a special permit for execution issued by the Service for Construction and Spatial Planning of the Neum municipality, with mandatory adherence to hygienic-epidemiological measures.

The decision on mandatory registration of persons residing outside the Neum municipality is extended until May 4, 2020. Accordingly, the municipality of Neum continues to control entry, as well as disinfect all vehicles entering Neum," stated the Headquarters, writes NAP.

In order to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the Neum municipality area, increased controls have been announced for the upcoming weekend.

"The measures have been eased, but the danger of infection remains the same. Therefore, we call on all citizens to continue to adhere to all previous instructions on behavior during the coronavirus pandemic," said the Headquarters.
