Two candidates known for Mostar Mayor: Mario Kordić and Đani Rahimić

(Patria) - The Executive Board of the SDA Mostar City Organization, after prior consultations with political parties forming the Coalition for Mostar and with their absolute support, has made a Decision that the head of the city list and candidate for Mayor of Mostar will be Đani Rahimić, a Doctor of Technical Sciences in the field of Civil Engineering and a respected Mostar activist and entrepreneur.

Prof. Dr. Đani Rahimić was born in 1982 in Mostar, where he completed the "Svetozar Ćorović" Elementary School, the Secondary Civil Engineering School, and the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the "Džemal Bijedić" University in Mostar. After that, he enrolled and successfully completed postgraduate studies at the Faculty of Civil Engineering at the University of Sarajevo, and in 2015, he earned the title of Doctor of Sciences by defending his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Civil Engineering of the "Džemal Bijedić" University in Mostar.

For many years, he has been engaged as a professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering, and at the same time, he is a successful entrepreneur in the real sector. He has worked on a large number of projects in several construction companies, and he currently holds the position of acting director of JP Komunalno Mostar, where he makes Mostar a better and more beautiful city every day with his knowledge and ideas.

He is the author or co-author of one book and 17 scientific papers. He is a member of the Society for Geotechnics of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He speaks English fluently and knows German and Spanish.

In addition to all of the above, many Mostar residents know Đani Rahimić for the project of complete reconstruction and arrangement of the plateau on Fortica hill, with a beautiful Skywalk, a mountain lodge, a large national flag, a zipline, a park, a restaurant and accompanying facilities, as well as parking space. Dr. Đani Rahimić is certainly, with his vision, ideas, and initiatives, one of the most deserving for the realization of these projects that have made Fortica one of the most beautiful tourist attractions in Herzegovina, according to the SDA Mostar City Board.

The other candidate for mayor is HDZ's Mario Kordić. He was elected mayor on February 15, 2021, with 17 votes from city councilors.
