Isolation measure expired for 1,903 people, FUP monitoring media and citizens causing panic

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Ensad Korman, Deputy Director of the FUP, stated at today's press conference that cantonal MUPs are mostly responsible for implementing the orders of the Federal Staff.

“Certain orders are not being fully respected. The FUI (Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs) has issued over 20,000 isolation orders, police officers are checking on individuals at their addresses, and there are those we do not find at home. This is most prevalent in the Sarajevo Canton and Tuzla Canton. Police officers are taking legal measures against all such individuals,” Korman said.

He added that legal actions and measures are being taken against persons violating the freedom of movement order.

The FUP, as he stated, has appointed a team that will monitor criminal activities or abuse of power 24 hours a day.

“We have also appointed a cybercrime team that will monitor all portals, because we have citizens who are causing panic on portals and issuing threats, and all such individuals will be prosecuted,” Korman said.

Anis Ajdinović, Director of the Federal Administration for Inspection Affairs, stated that 86 federal inspectors are conducting 24-hour inspection control in three shifts at 15 border crossings and Sarajevo Airport. Ajdinović pointed out that he spoke with the Director of the BiH Border Police, Zoran Galić, about the possible closure of some border crossings while the movement ban is in effect, to allow inspectors some rest. The Director of the FUI stressed that the number of passengers entering BiH is rapidly declining.

“FUI inspectors have issued 19,625 isolation orders to passengers entering BiH. Today, 636 isolation measures expire, and we now have 1,903 individuals whose measures have expired, and if they have not shown symptoms, they are no longer required to be in isolation,” Ajdinović said.

Cantonal MUPs have forwarded all cases of 280 individuals who violated isolation measures to the FUI, which has submitted requests to the competent courts to initiate legal proceedings.

Regarding price control of products, disinfectants, and protective masks in business entities, inspection supervision was carried out in the Sarajevo Canton and Tuzla Canton.

“Seven misdemeanor orders were issued, and we have sanctioned business entities with 7,250 KM. In 93 inspection supervisions, we issued misdemeanor orders. In 106 cases during control supervisions, we determined that business entities did not violate the FBiH Government’s decision,” Ajdinović said.
