WHO in BiH: Coronavirus cannot be detected by a breathing exercise, which can even be dangerous

(Patria) - The World Health Organization (WHO), which also operates in Bosnia and Herzegovina as part of the campaign 'Trust the facts, not the rumors', emphasizes that coronavirus cannot be detected by a breathing exercise.

"If you can hold your breath for 10 seconds or more without coughing or feeling discomfort, that does NOT mean you do not have COVID-19 or some other lung disease.

The most common symptoms of COVID-19 are dry cough, fatigue, and fever. Some people may develop more severe forms of the disease such as pneumonia. The best way to confirm whether someone is infected with coronavirus is a laboratory test. You cannot confirm this with this breathing exercise, which can even be dangerous," says WHO BiH.

Meanwhile, more than 42,000 people have died worldwide from the coronavirus pandemic, which the UN considers the worst crisis since 1945.

Since the start of the pandemic in December 2019 in China, more than 830,000 people have been infected worldwide, with more than 50 percent of infections in Europe, the US has 186,000, and Asia more than 108,000.

To curb the spread of the pandemic, more than 3.75 billion people, or 48 percent of the world's population, are in isolation.
