Washington ready to restart attack if no deal with Iran

(Patria) - US Vice President JD Vance stated that negotiations on Iran are progressing well, but that Washington is "ready" to restart military operations if there is no deal, AFP reported.

Vance's comments came several hours after President Donald Trump said he had given Tehran "two or three days" to reach an agreement.

"A lot of good progress is being made, but we will just continue to work on it and ultimately we will either reach a deal or we won't," Vance said at a White House briefing.

Vance said that Iran must accept that it cannot have nuclear weapons.

"We are in a pretty good position here. But, there is option B, and option B is that we could restart the military campaign," said the US Vice President.

"We are ready. We do not want to go down that path, but the President is willing and able to go down that path if we have to."
