Vujošević: Sweden is a serious opponent, the importance of the match is an additional burden

The Bosnia and Herzegovina national basketball team will play its fourth match of the pre-qualifications for the 2019 World Cup tomorrow in Zenica, reports the Patria agency.

The opponent of our selection is Sweden, and a press conference was held in Zenica ahead of the match against the Swedes.

The selector of our national basketball team, Duško Vujošević, said that it has become a stereotype to say that the match is important, because every match is important, and in every match victory is the only thing that counts.

- Sweden has a very serious lineup, several players who play in professional European basketball and are in any case a very serious opponent. The importance of the match will be an additional burden that we will try to articulate through things that help to win the match - said Vujošević.

Vujošević said that so far victories have mostly been celebrated by home selections, and that the first place in the group could be won by whoever achieves a victory away from home.

One of the biggest advantages of the Swedish national team is that they are led from the bench by Vedran Bosnić, a native of Sarajevo, who knows our selection down to the smallest detail.

- Sweden has accurate information about our quality, both individual and team. Vedran Bosnić is a man from Sarajevo with certain connections, well-informed, but our players will also not lack information about their characteristics. The match will be decided by desire and fighting spirit on the court - added Vujošević.

The only defeat in the pre-qualifications so far was recorded by our national team precisely against Sweden away from home. Our best player, Alex Renfroe, hopes that we will correct the mistakes from the first match tomorrow.

- The first match did not go as it should have, tomorrow we will play much better. We are playing on home court, and the advantage will be the crowd on our side. We are all excited to play in this city. This will be a tough match, and if we want to qualify, perhaps the most important one - Renfroe pointed out.

One of the best individuals in the victory against Armenia, Almir Hasandić, emphasized that for the victory against Sweden, the most important thing is for the players to apply everything from training on the court.
