Vučić after Government session: The incident was started by fans of a football club from Serbia

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić arrived in Belgrade from Potočari for an emergency session of the Serbian Government following the attack on him, reports the Bosnian news agency Patria.

No visible injuries are noticeable on his face, except that he is not wearing his prescription glasses. 

Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić stated today that the attack on him in Potočari was well-organized and prepared.

- The first incident was caused by fans of a football club from Serbia, and after laying flowers, a well-organized and prepared attack followed with stones, fists, and feet, said Vučić. He added that a stone hit him on the lower lip and that his glasses were broken. My hand remains extended towards the Bosniak people, Vučić emphasized and added that he will continue with that policy - said Vučić, reports Tanjug.

- I call on Serbs and all other citizens of Serbia to proudly and with heads held high, just as I walked today paying tribute, to never show hatred towards our neighbors and friends the Bosniaks, that no one raise a hand against them because we must live together with them in the future, and they will accept that hand - said Vučić, adding that "there has been enough hatred and anger."

Leading world media outlets that published the news about the commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide report that Prime Minister Vučić was attacked with water bottles, shoes, and other objects. However, on the other hand, they note that Vučić once defended the policy of ultranationalists and remind of his statement that for "every killed Serb, 100 Muslims should be killed." A banner with that statement of his was displayed today in Potočari.
