Parents whose children attend one of the public kindergartens "Djeca Sarajeva" have been able to give their written opinion in recent days on whether they agree with the price increase for children's stay in kindergartens or oppose such a decision by the Management, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.
Parents currently pay 140 KM for the full-day stay of their children in one of the public kindergartens in Sarajevo, but the price will soon be increased to 160 KM. Unofficially, from the kindergarten "Djeca Sarajeva" they explain that utility costs have increased in recent years, which has burdened the operations of this public institution, so the increase in the price of kindergarten stay is necessary.
Also, from the 20 KM that parents will additionally allocate in the future for the stay of children in kindergartens, the children's meals will be enriched.
Regardless of the price increase, staying in public kindergartens "Djeca Sarajeva" is still cheaper than staying in private kindergartens, where prices range up to 300 KM per month.
Public kindergartens "Djeca Sarajeva" are currently attended by about 2,800 children, writes NAP.
