A day before the start of preparations for the qualifying match against Israel, Avdija Vršajević and Tino Sven Sušić appeared alongside Edin Džeko for an examination by the national team doctor Reuf Karabeg and physiotherapist Ismar Hadžibajrić, reports the Patria news agency.
After a detailed examination, Dr. Karabeg confirmed:
- Avdija Vršajević will certainly not be able to play; he has a rupture of the right ligament, while Sušić has an injury to the left adductor, and we intend to determine the stage of muscle healing through diagnostic tests tonight. Edin Džeko has a rupture of the right leg muscle (the attachment of the medial head of the gastrocnemius muscle to the Achilles tendon); it is a serious injury, so he will undergo another ultrasound examination - says Karabeg.
Tonight's examination, scheduled for 6 PM, will definitively confirm the severity of the injury to the captain of the Bosnian team and remove doubts about his appearance against Israel.
