
(Patria) - Sarajevo is today the most polluted city in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the third most polluted air in the world.
The air quality is unhealthy for the population. According to data from measuring units for Sarajevo, the air quality index is 235.
According to IQAir data, Sarajevo is the third most polluted city in the world. Lahore in Pakistan is in first place and Delhi in India is in second place.
A special warning is issued on this occasion to people with respiratory illnesses such as asthma, for whom a significant increase in symptoms and the intensity of the disease is possible. An increased probability of negative consequences for the respiratory organs of the entire population is noted.
Patients with lung and heart diseases, pregnant women, children and the elderly must avoid any activities while outdoors. Also, it is recommended that all citizens reduce their time spent outdoors and avoid strenuous activities while outdoors.
