(Patria) - The Supreme Court of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina has quashed the decision of the Cantonal Court in Sarajevo imposing prohibition measures on the Mayor of Trnovo Municipality, Ibro Berilo, his lawyer Senad Pizović confirmed to Faktor.
He emphasized that the Supreme Court has quashed the Cantonal Court's decision for the second time and returned the case for reconsideration.
- The Supreme Court has quashed the decision for the second time, and in my opinion, the Cantonal Court should finally make the correct decision and reject the prohibition measures - Pizović told Faktor.
Berilo was released from custody at the beginning of the month, and instead of extending that measure as requested by the Prosecutor's Office, the Court imposed prohibition measures.
By the Court's decision, Berilo was prohibited from performing the function of municipal mayor and from meeting with other suspects in this case.
His lawyer immediately announced an appeal against such a court decision, which has now been accepted.
