Vranić for Patria: I stand by my findings based on documentation and will defend them in the BiH Court

(Patria) - The BiH Court has scheduled the continuation of the main hearing in the criminal proceedings against RS President Milorad Dodik and acting director of the Official Gazette of RS Miloš Lukić for Wednesday, December 25. This information was revealed by Dodik's lawyer

In those findings, we remind you, he determined that Dodik is capable of following the trial being conducted against him and the acting director of the "Official Gazette" Miloš Lukić before the Court of BiH for non-compliance with the decisions of the High Representative Christian Schmidt.

Vranić's opinion was refuted by a team of doctors from the Sarajevo General Hospital "Prim. dr. Abdulah Nakaš", which determined through an examination that Dodik is currently not capable of attending the trial.

More specifically, the team of doctors from the General Hospital, which did not include court experts, concluded that Dodik is not medically fit to travel between Banja Luka and Sarajevo and attend the trial.

The new examination effectively rejected Dr. Vranić's previous finding. We asked him for a comment on this matter.

- Given that the subpoena from the BiH Court for the examination of the accused did not request a direct examination of the accused, I firmly stand by my first and second findings of December 18, 2024 - Vranić told Patria.

He also states that his finding is based solely on medical postulates, based on the medical documentation provided to him by the Court of BiH, which was written after consultations with colleagues from Berlin, Belgrade, and Heidelberg, and solely on the basis of "evidence-based" medicine, and he will defend it as such before the Court of BiH on Monday.

Vranić says he does not wish to comment on the opinion of the team of doctors who examined the accused Dodik yesterday, ten days after his second finding and opinion.

- It was legitimate for the defense of the accused to request a direct examination, and if the Court had ordered it, I would have of course performed a direct examination of the accused. Instead, the defense launched a frenzied attack on my person, not on the finding, using incredible lies, fabrications, insinuations, and the like.

Their actions contain elements of the criminal offense of defamation, according to the Criminal Code of RS, and they will have to answer for it - Vranić concludes.
