Drivers beware: Driving on wet and snowy roads

Due to new precipitation that affected most of our country during the night and morning, driving this morning is on wet and occasionally snowy roads. There is snow on the road in some sections in higher areas, and traffic is particularly difficult on the M-15 Livno-Šuica main road over the Borova Glava pass, where strong winds are forming snowdrifts, causing the road to be narrowed, according to BIHAMK, reports the Patria News Agency.

Road crews are on the ground and performing necessary interventions. In the south of our country, traffic is currently on predominantly wet roads, and we draw attention to frequent landslides. On the roads Mostar-Polog, Mostar-Žitomislići, and Buna-Masline, we warn of occasional strong gusts of wind.

We advise drivers to drive more cautiously, adapted to the current conditions and road conditions. We appeal to drivers not to set off on a journey without winter equipment, the possession of which is legally mandatory for all vehicle categories.

There are no long delays at border crossings this morning. Due to bad weather conditions in Croatia, GP Izačić-Ličko Petrovo Selo is closed for trucks over 7.5 tons, the statement reads.
