(Patria) - Newly appointed Military Mufti Nesib-ef. Hadžić stated that the Military Muftiate will continue to act decisively and will fulfill its mission in the best possible way.
In a Bayram interview for the MINA Agency, Mufti Hadžić spoke about the mission and tasks that will face the Military Muftiate, the importance of organizing religious life within the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and other significant issues.
"The Military Muftiate, following the fact that it operates within the Ministry of Defense of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is very organized, clearly defined, bounded by the laws and normative acts of the Islamic Community. It has very clear goals, tasks, and a mission," Mufti Hadžić said at the beginning of the conversation.
As he stated, as the third military mufti, he has the task of continuing to maintain the continuity of the Muftiate's work and development.
"The current situation, of which I was a part as the chief imam of the Armed Forces, is very active and dynamic. It is up to me to initiate new processes, so that we can move forward in the best possible way. My work in the Military Muftiate, together with the imams, will be focused on several priorities in the coming period. First of all, we will continue to work on strengthening the faith of our members and their understanding of dini-Islam.
We will find ways and ensure quality training and education for new military imams who have been accepted into the Armed Forces, in order to develop the skills and abilities necessary for our imams to perform complex tasks in fulfilling their mission.
Third, although the conditions are satisfactory, we will continue to improve the conditions for religious life in the Armed Forces by improving the infrastructure for this purpose. We will find new ways and methods in the process of promoting the universal ethical principles. Both within the country and outside Bosnia and Herzegovina, through our work and ideas, we will promote the middle path of the Islamic Community," Hadžić explained.
At the awarding of the murasele to Mufti Hadžić, Reisul-ulema Husein-ef. Kavazović emphasized that "we live in a time of open conflicts between great powers and a moral crisis of humanity, both individuals and communities, in many segments of life," and that therefore "the presence of religious authorities in public institutions, and especially in military structures, is extremely important, as these authorities develop and nurture the most noble virtues of individual and social life of people".
We also talked with Mufti Hadžić about the role of the Military Muftiate in nurturing virtues.
"The Military Muftiate takes care of the religious life of Muslims engaged in the organizational units of the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces. That is our task, and the goal of that task is precisely morality. Morality is the core of faith, the core of Islam.
The organization of religious activities is directed towards what was the mission of the Prophet, peace be upon him, and ours - to perfect noble characters in people," the mufti emphasized.
