Afghanistan's military losses in conflict with Pakistan exceed 1,500

(Patria) - At least 684 Afghan soldiers were killed and over 910 wounded in armed clashes with Pakistani forces, Pakistan's Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar said yesterday, TASS reported.


According to the minister's post on platform X, since the beginning of the operation, airstrikes have been carried out on 73 targets in the neighboring country. The Pakistani army eliminated 252 Afghan checkpoints, and another 44 were brought under control and destroyed. Furthermore, Pakistani forces eliminated 229 enemy armored vehicles.


Fighting on the Pakistan-Afghanistan border continued on February 26.


Kabul announced that it is conducting a military operation in response to recent Pakistani airstrikes on Afghan territory.


According to Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, his country is in a state of open armed conflict with the Afghan Taliban government.
