(Patria) - Hague convict and president of the Serbian Radical Party (SRS) Vojislav Šešelj was re-elected leader of the Radicals on Saturday at the party congress held in Hrtkovci, a village in Srem associated with traumatic memories of Croats expelled in the early 1990s.
At the party gathering, which the Radicals call the Homeland Congress, 450 out of 455 delegates voted for Šešelj, with five voting against.
Addressing the congress participants at the beginning, Šešelj stated that the Radicals' ideology remains unchanged, and denied committing the crime of expelling Croats from Hrtkovci, Hina reports.
Denying the deportation of Croats from Hrtkovci and Srem, Šešelj claimed he did not commit a crime, and that the Hague tribunal did not call it a war crime either.
