Waterworks reportedly waiting for rain: Sarajevo still under water reduction regime

Water supply for the City of Sarajevo is very difficult during the daytime. The situation at the sources in hydrological terms is very poor, underground accumulations are still in constant decline, and the inflow of water into reservoirs remains weak, so no improvement is expected without more abundant rainfall, reports the Patria news agency.  

Today, in the settlements of Podhrastovi, Sedrenik, Grdonj, Panjina kula, Breka, from Dolac malte to Marijin dvor and Baščaršija, Skenderija, Otoka, Čengić Vila, Alipašino polje, Dobrinja, Saraj polje, Rajlovac, Buća potok, Naselje Heroja – Sokolje, Hrasnica, Stup, Butmir, Kotorac, Sokolovići, Brusulje, Obhodža, Faletići, Gladno polje, Hrid, Bistrik, Cicin han, Soukbunar, Trebevićka, Velešići, Pofalići, Koševsko brdo, Ciglane, there will be disruptions in water supply from 10:00 to 15:00.

This means that at certain locations, some floors of buildings and specific higher parts of the mentioned settlements will experience water supply interruptions during the stated period.

During the night hours (only Saturday/Sunday), from 23:00 to 08:00, water delivery will be under reduced pressure in parts of the city: from Dolac Malte to Baščaršija, Otoka, Č. Vila, Alipašino polje, Dobrinja, Saraj polje, Rajlovac, Velešići, Pofalići, Kobilja Glava, Bare- Šip, Ciglane, Koševsko brdo, Alipašina and Koševo streets, Cicin Han and Soukbunar; Podhrastovi; Grdonj, Sedrenik, Sokolovići, Vogošća, Pogledine, Hrid, Bistrik, Mahmutovac, Turkušići, Hrasno brdo.

This means that at certain locations, some floors of buildings and specific higher parts of the mentioned water supply zones will experience water supply interruptions during the stated period.

Due to repair works on the water supply network today from 09:00 to 16:00, there will be disruptions in water supply for the following streets: Balibegovica, Komatin, Mustafe Muje Pašića, Nikole Šopa, Kobilja Glava, Igmanska, Partizanskog odreda zvjezda, Isaka Samokovlije, Mustafe Behmena, Antuna Hangije, Osmana Nakaša, Višnjik, Obala Kulina bana and Kulovića.

We would like to take this opportunity to appeal to our esteemed consumers to use water as rationally as possible, to minimize watering gardens and greenhouses, washing yards, carpets, and other unnecessary waste of drinking water, in order to ensure sufficient amounts of water in reservoir spaces and maintain as normal a water supply as possible, the Water and Sewerage Company stated.
