(Patria) - The search for the missing continues in the Jablanica area following heavy rainfall and a quarry collapse.
So far, the bodies of 18 victims have been found in the Jablanica area, and no one dares to announce the number of those still being searched for.
The total number of victims in Bosnia and Herzegovina is now 22.
Teams from the Civil Protection, Armed Forces, and other services have been on the ground since 7 a.m. this morning, working to find the missing and excavate rubble under which people are suspected to be trapped.
Rain fell during the night but stopped in the early morning hours.
The water has receded in Jablanica, making the extent of the damage even more visible.
Heavy machinery and rescuers have been digging through rubble since early morning, searching for a path beneath the landslide to reach the missing persons. It is suspected that between 20 and 40 people are missing, but the exact number will be known once all houses and settlements are reached.
