Vlaisavljević Distributes Funds: 95 Thousand KM for Christmas, Advent, Catholic Magazines, and 16 Thousand for Ramadan, Ilahijas, and Ajvatovica

(Patria) - For Christmas, Advent, and Catholic Croat shrines in the Federation of BiH, 95 thousand marks will be allocated from the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports this year. For Ramadan, two ilahija concerts, and the Ajvatovica Days, 16 thousand marks will be allocated from the same budget line, from the same Ministry, in the same year, writes Istraga.ba.

This is how the Minister of Culture in the Federation Government, Sanja Vlaisavljević, distributes money. You can read her decision on awarding funds “for culture of significance to the Federation” by clicking here. In fact, everything will speak for itself. Out of 195 projects to be financed with money from the Federal Budget, as many as 105 have a Croatian designation.

Here is a comparison regarding religious-cultural events that will be financed from the Budget of BiH. Minister Vlaisavljević approved funds for eighteen projects related to Catholic Croats. Only four projects relate to religious-cultural events of Bosniaks-Muslims.

Specifically, 5000 KM was approved for the Advent in Stolac project, 5000 KM for the Days of Saint Nikola Tavelić in Gustom Grab near Busovača, 5000 KM for Advent in Travnik, 4000 KM for the Christmas-New Year concert in Čitluk, 5000 KM for the Christmas meeting with the homeland in Brotnjo, 4000 KM for the “Spirit of Christmas” project in Kiseljak, 6000 KM for “Holiday Magic in Žepče”, 4000 KM for the Days of Saint Elijah in Grahovo, 4000 KM for the Ilindan festivities in Stolac, 4000 KM for the “Image and Work of Fra Didak Buntić” project in Čitluk, 4000 KM for the Christmas concert in Travnik, 4000 KM for the Christmas concert in Mostar, 4000 KM for the “Christmas in Vareš” project, 4000 KM for the “Towards Christmas” project in Par Selo near Tuzla, 4000 KM for the Days of Fra Didak Buntić in Gradinići, and 17000 KM for the Franciscan Museum project “cultural-religious days Naša Gorica” in Livno. The Franciscan Museum in Tomislavgrad received 11 thousand KM for the project “100 years” of the basilica. Five thousand KM was allocated for the promotion of the 500th issue of the magazine “Svjetlo riječi” published by the Franciscan Media Center. In total, eighteen religious-cultural projects for Catholic Croats in BiH – 95 thousand KM.

When it comes to the religious-cultural life of Bosniaks-Muslims, the situation is as follows. 4000 KM was approved for the “Evening of the Most Beautiful Ilahijas” in Ilijaš, 4000 KM was approved for the “Days of Ramadan Joy” for the Islamic Community in BiH, 4000 KM for the Ajvatovica Days, and 4000 KM for the ilahija evening in Livno. Four projects – 16 thousand KM.

That's not all. Let's analyze other “cultural projects”. For example, for the Grape Harvest Days cultural event in Čitluk, the Federal Ministry of Culture and Sports, led by Sanja Vlaisavljević, will allocate 14 thousand marks. The Ministry will provide 10 thousand marks of budget funds to the Association Manifest from Široki Brijeg for the Street Food Fest project. The Neum Underwater Film Festival project was “supported” through the Association Standard from Široki Brijeg with 10 thousand marks. The traditional cultural event Days of Mowing in Kupres will cost federal taxpayers – 10 thousand marks. Minister Sanja Vlaisavljević allocated 10 thousand marks to the Association Abduco from Mostar for the “cultural connector” project. 11 thousand marks were approved for the event – the selection of the most beautiful Croat woman in traditional costume. The Ethno Festival “Moj Ivane” in Kupres received six thousand marks, while the “pop music” festival in Kupres was approved four thousand KM. These two projects are realized by the Croatian Home Kupres, meaning they received a total of 10 thousand marks.

Significant amounts of money were received by the Sarajevo Film Festival – 150 thousand KM, the National Theatre Sarajevo led by Dino Mustafić – 60 thousand KM, and the Jazz Fest in Sarajevo – 17 thousand. However, for example, the “Ivo Gregurević” Film Festival in Orašje was allocated 36 thousand KM.

“Days of Tolisa” near Orašje, for instance, are of greater significance to the culture of the federation than the “Theatre Days” of the oldest professional theatre in the country – the National Theatre in Tuzla. Sanja Vlaisavljević allocated 10 thousand KM for the Days of Tolisa, and 9 thousand KM for the “Tuzla Theatre Days”.

Minister Vlaisavljević estimated that the “60th Jubilee International Art Colony in Počitelj”, where world-renowned artists gather, is worth only four thousand KM. The “6th Pottery Fair” in Tepčići near Čitluk is worth the same.

10 thousand KM was allocated for the Klapa Singing Festival in Posušje, and four thousand KM for “Lola's Choral Evenings” in Sarajevo. Seven thousand KM was allocated for the Sarajevo Philharmonic's “Halloween Night”, and four thousand KM for the Sevdalinka Festival in Tuzla. Seven thousand marks were allocated for the Mediterranean Film Festival in Široki Brijeg, and five thousand KM for the Tuzla Film Festival.
