(Patria) - The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK), chaired by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, adopted at today's session the Decision on the Development of IT/AI Hubs in the ZDK area for 2026.
- The ZDK Government continues to continuously develop the IT sector in cooperation with the Regional Development Agency for the Central Bosnia region.
So far, IT/AI hubs have been built and fully equipped in Zenica, Zavidovići, and Maglaj, and this year we are planning a new location in Kakanj - stated the Minister of Economy of ZDK Samir Šibonjić.
The goal of the project is to build an integrated network of IT/AI hubs that will enable all cities of the canton to have equal access to digital resources, knowledge, and business opportunities of the 21st century.
Minister Šibonjić emphasized that the strengthening of existing IT/AI hubs continues, and announced the launch of an IT/AI academy in ZDK, with the aim of providing additional support to young professionals in the development of this sector, which is one of the fastest growing in the economy, not only in the region but also in the whole world.
