ZDK Government Hands Over New Vehicles to MUP Police Directorate

(Patria) - At the Training Center for Police Officers and the Special Police Unit accommodation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) in Zenica today, a formal handover ceremony of new official vehicles for the needs of the MUP ZDK Police Directorate was held.

ZDK Prime Minister Nezir Pivić and Minister of Internal Affairs Emir Vračo handed over the keys to two new vehicles to the commander of the Police Station Centar in Zenica, Rijad Delić.



The ceremony was also attended by Adis Imamović, head of the Uniformed Police Sector of MUP ZDK, and Samir Valentić, commander of the Special Police Unit.

The ZDK Government, through the MUP, procured a total of 14 new vehicles - 12 with police markings and two without markings for the needs of the criminal police. The total value of the procurement is 678,879 KM.

Pivić emphasized the importance of continuous investment in citizen security and equipping the police.

- I am pleased that today we are witnessing the official handover of vehicles procured for the MUP. This is a continuation of activities where we are strengthening investment in the security of our citizens.

This year, we have allocated record funds for equipping the police, including the procurement of weapons, and what should be particularly highlighted is the procurement of a helicopter that will arrive in the coming period.



We will continue to strengthen both the material and human resources of the police. We expect to announce a public call for the recruitment of new police officers soon. Citizen security remains one of the priorities of the ZDK Government - said Pivić.

Minister Vračo emphasized that the vehicles will be evenly distributed among police stations across the canton.

- Regarding the commitment of the cantonal government, the MUP ZDK Police Directorate is enriched with 14 new vehicles that will be distributed to police stations in the canton in the coming period.

The government has allocated almost 680,000 KM for this purpose. Everything we do, we do for the security of our citizens - said Vračo.

This activity is another in a series of steps that the ZDK Government is taking to strengthen the capacities of police services and improve overall security in ZDK.
