ZDK Government Approves Additional Two Million KM for Hospital Doctor Specializations

(Patria) - At today's session of the Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton, at the proposal of Minister Aida Salčinović, a decision was adopted to approve funds for the Public Institution Cantonal Hospital Zenica for co-financing the education costs of doctors undergoing specialization and junior doctors in 2025, thereby ensuring the improvement of health services and the provision of adequate staff in this sector.

The decision adopted by the Government concerns the amount of KM 2,000,000 which will be directed towards the education and specialization of doctors and junior doctors at the Cantonal Hospital Zenica. Minister Salčinović emphasized the importance of investing in healthcare staff, especially in doctors who are a scarce resource, to ensure a quality healthcare system in the future.

- Investing in the education and specialization of our doctors is a key step in preserving and improving the quality of healthcare. Without adequate education and specialization, we face significant challenges in providing professional staff, and this step aims to prevent the outflow of talented and trained experts - said Minister Salčinović.

We remind you that the Government of ZDK already approved KM 3,000,000 for the same purpose in May this year, bringing the total support for doctor specializations at the Cantonal Hospital Zenica in 2025 to KM 5,000,000.
