
(Patria) - The ZDK Government approved 1.5 million KM for economic and tourism incentives. The Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton, at a session chaired by Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, adopted decisions on the allocation of funds for economic and tourism incentives in the amount of 1.5 million KM, announced the Press Service of the ZDK Government.
At the proposal of the Ministry of Economy, 514,368.70 KM was approved for subsidizing projects of tourism infrastructure and superstructure, while 976,457.50 KM was approved for refunding investments in crafts and subsidizing business activities under the Regulation on the Protection of Traditional and Old Crafts.
- This is confirmation that we want our economy to strengthen and for crafts and old trades to grow. We want to have a strongly developed economy in the future and for ZDK to remain one of the most important drivers of BiH's economic development - said Prime Minister Pivić. 
Minister of Economy Samir Šibonjić said that the amount of incentives is the largest so far, with particular support for crafts and traditional trades.
- We are implementing a series of programs aimed at strengthening the competitiveness of companies and crafts, building industrial zones, and supporting participation in fairs. The upcoming Tešanj Economy Fair and the ZEPS fair will be a kind of festival of our canton's economy - said Minister Šibonjić.
The Government adopted several decisions on approving financial resources. The kindergarten "Fra Ivica Čondrić" in Žepče was approved 50,000 KM for a canopy construction project, and 50,000 KM was also approved for institutions and non-governmental organizations in this canton for co-financing projects dedicated to marking significant dates in the field of social protection, protection of civilian war victims, and protection of families with children.
The municipality of Vareš was approved 20,000 KM for conducting activities in accordance with the Law on Animal Protection and Welfare.
The Public Institution Bosnian Cultural Center "Alija Izetbegović" from Kalesija was approved 15,000 KM for the purpose of co-financing the project marking 250 years since the first record of the ballad "Hasanaginica" in the area of the Zenica-Doboj Canton.
40,000 KM was approved for financing the second phase of construction of the family medicine clinic building in Željezno Polje in the municipality of Žepče.
