ZDK Government: 275,190 BAM for construction of hall in Maglaj and playground in Vareš

(Patria) - Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK) Mirza Mušija signed with the Mayor of Maglaj Municipality Maid Suljaković and the Assistant Mayor of Vareš Municipality Rusmir Berberović contracts for co-financing two important infrastructure projects in these municipalities.

The Ministry will co-finance the capital project "Construction of a Sports Hall for Secondary Schools in Maglaj" with 200,000.00 BAM, while the project "Construction of a sports playground next to the branch school in the local community of Budoželje-Vareš Municipality" will be co-financed with 75,190.00 BAM.

The construction of the Sports Hall for Secondary Schools in Maglaj began last year, and the total value of the project is 1.5 million BAM, of which the ZDK Government will allocate around 900,000 BAM in phases.

- The Government and this ministry remain consistent in their efforts to ensure a safe, modern and stimulating environment for the education of students throughout our canton through planned projects and partnerships with local communities. Investing in educational institutions is not just a matter of infrastructure, but an investment in the future of our children and society as a whole - said Minister Mušija.

He stated that two million BAM are planned for financing capital projects significant for the development of education, culture and sports in the canton in 2025.

Municipal Mayor Maid Suljaković and Assistant Mayor of Vareš Rusmir Berberović, on behalf of Mayor Zdravko Marošević, thanked the ZDK Government and the relevant ministry for the approved funds, as well as for the continuous support in improving living conditions in these municipalities, especially for young people.
