BANJA LUKA, (Patria) - The Republic of Srpska Emergency Situations Headquarters has tasked the Public Health Institute of the Republic of Srpska with initiating proceedings to terminate the contract for the procurement of a mobile hospital.
In a statement from the Government's Public Relations Bureau, it is stated that the contract is being terminated due to the supplier's failure to fulfill contractual obligations. The statement adds that the Headquarters has tasked the Public Health Institute with initiating proceedings for the recovery of the advance payment.
The Institute's Director, Branislav Zeljković, said at a press conference that the Headquarters tasked the Institute with unilaterally terminating the contract with the company Balkan Global regarding the procurement of the mobile hospital.
Zeljković said that the Headquarters also tasked the Institute with recovering the 4.2 million KM paid for the mobile hospital.
"The supplier did not complete the entire delivery as specified in the contract. The deadline in the contract was 12 days from the date of its signing. Failure to fulfill the contract leads to unilateral termination of the contract," said Zeljković.
The RS Government decided to purchase the mobile hospital to make the health sector more prepared to respond to the coronavirus epidemic, but not all necessary equipment has arrived yet.
