KS Government: Employment is the main goal with support for employers

In the Report on the state of social protection, protection of civilian war victims and protection of families with children in 2014, adopted by the Government of Sarajevo Canton at its third session held today and which will also be addressed by the deputies in the Assembly of Sarajevo Canton, it was stated that 45,290 of our fellow citizens used some form of social protection rights in the past year, reports the BiH news agency Patria.

Rights for the protection of families with children in that period were realized by 27,131 people, social protection beneficiaries numbered 12,972, and 5,187 beneficiaries realized their rights in the protection of civilian war victims. The average monthly allocations for this purpose amounted to 5,199,909.00 KM.

Information on the labor market research for 2013, compiled and presented by the Employment Service of KS, and presented today to the Government of Sarajevo Canton, was based on surveys conducted by the Service among 313 employers in the Sarajevo Canton. It was stated today that for a more relevant picture of the situation in this area, more frequent and broader research should be conducted in the future, data must reflect the situation on the ground, be current and accessible. The need for faster and broader communication, better linking of labor market needs and the education system, the need to evaluate past employment programs and their effectiveness, and linking with potential donors were discussed. For employment as a strategic commitment of this Government, it was emphasized, new forms of support for employers will be proposed, active employment policy will be continuous, and relevant market research will be important in its implementation.

The Government adopted the consolidated report of budget users operating through the Treasury of Sarajevo Canton for the period 01.01. to 31.12.2014, and the Proposal of the Program for the arrangement of construction land and the implementation of capital projects for 2015 should be refined in consultation with the ministries, was the conclusion from today's session of the Government of Sarajevo Canton.
