Government of Sarajevo Canton allocates 100,000 BAM for marking the 30th anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide

(Patria) - Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk met with the director of the "Foundation for the Commemoration of July 11, 1995 - Anniversary of the Genocide" Hamdija Fejzić, who informed him about the organizational details of marking 30 years since the genocide against Bosniaks of Srebrenica.

An agreement on financial support was signed, by which the Government of Sarajevo Canton allocates 100,000 BAM for the implementation of the commemoration program, which is the largest single amount allocated by any government in Bosnia and Herzegovina for this purpose.

- It is the obligation of all of us to preserve the truth about the genocide. The Government of Sarajevo Canton stands firmly with Srebrenica - said Prime Minister Uk.

The meeting was also attended by the director of the Office of the Government of Sarajevo Canton for Srebrenica, Mirza Ibrahimović.
