FBiH Government: Programs for Utilization of Funds in Energy, Mining, and Industry Adopted

(Patria) - The FBiH Government today, at a telephone session, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Industry, adopted decisions on the adoption of three programs for the utilization of funds within current transfers and other current expenditures determined in the FBiH budget for 2026 to this ministry.

Two programs relate to the utilization of funds for linking work experience. The first program concerns subsidies to public enterprises for linking work experience in the amount of 1,000,000 KM, and the second concerns subsidies to private enterprises and entrepreneurs for linking work experience in the amount of 735,000 KM.

The programs state that these are available grant funds and are awarded for settling companies' debts for unpaid contributions solely based on pension and disability insurance contributions (PIO/MIO), specifically for workers who, after the payment of contributions for PIO/MIO, will meet the conditions for retirement rights, based on any grounds.

The specified funds will be awarded according to these programs and published public calls.

Today, the Program for Utilization of Funds for the Program: Management of Energy and Mining Sector - "Current Transfers and Other Current Expenditures - Subsidies to Public Enterprises - for the Implementation of Just Transition" was also adopted, in the amount of 3,000,000 KM.

As stated in this program, the available funds are grant funds and are awarded to the economic entity RMU Zenica d.o.o. - Zenica for settling obligations towards workers based on unpaid salaries and meal allowances, compensation for the death of close family members, compensation based on pensions (children of deceased miners and severely disabled workers), and bank charges for February 2026, and for the payment of PIO contributions for 27 workers who met the conditions for retirement in 2025 up to June 30, 2025.

In accordance with the decisions made today, the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining, and Industry will submit reports to the Federal Ministry of Finance and the Government of the Federation of BiH in accordance with the Law on Execution of the Budget of the Federation of BiH for 2026 and the programs.
