FBiH Government Seeks Dismissal of Željeznice FBiH Management

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of BiH, at today's session in Mostar, was informed about the activities undertaken by the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications regarding the restoration of traffic in flooded areas to implement the Government's conclusions of October 5 and 16 this year, as well as the activities of public companies Ceste Federacije BiH and Željeznice Federacije BiH to repair damage and regulate traffic.

After discussion, the Government of the Federation of BiH adopted the Information and amendments to the Information from the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications on Activity Plans for Damage Repair and Traffic Regulation submitted by JP Ceste Federacije BiH d.o.o. Sarajevo and JP Željeznice Federacije BiH d.o.o. Sarajevo, and scheduled an urgent session of the Government of the Federation of BiH for November 20, 2024, on the topic of urgent rehabilitation of railway and road infrastructure damaged in the floods.

The Government tasked the Federal Ministry of Transport and Communications to prepare a proposal for a decision on the dismissal and temporary appointment of the management of JP Željeznice Federacije BiH d.o.o. Sarajevo for tomorrow's session.

This conclusion takes effect on the day it is adopted.

Among other things, the information from the Federal Ministry stated that traffic on the M17 main road at the Komadinovo Vrelo location in the Municipality of Jablanica was interventively repaired and enabled from October 16, 2024, but railway traffic at the same location is still not possible due to damage to the railway infrastructure.

Incidentally, one of the executive directors of Željeznice FBiH is Reuf Sulejmanović, who was arrested along with the director of KJKP Rad, Nijaz Salamović, and for whom measures of performing duties were determined. Sulejmanović is a cadre of Naša stranka, and the party president Edin Forto previously requested the dismissal of director Enis Džafić.
