FBiH Government: Five Million KM for Pretis for Construction of a Gunpowder Production Facility

(Patria) - The FBiH Government today, at a telephone session, upon the proposal of the Federal Ministry of Energy, Mining and Industry, adopted a Decision approving the Program for the expenditure of funds determined by the FBiH budget for 2026 to this ministry for the Program "Management of the Industry and Defence Industry Sector" within the scope of Capital transfers to public enterprises - Pretis d.d. for the construction of an explosive substance (gunpowder) production facility, in the amount of 5,000,000 KM.

As stated by the proposer, among other things, this program is the result of the strategic commitment of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina to strengthen and modernize the defence industry, with a focus on improving the capacities of the economic company Pretis d.d. Vogošća, as one of the key drivers of production in this sector.

This program represents not only an investment in the defence sector but also direct support for the development of Pretis d.d. Vogošća as a strategically important economic entity, and an investment in human capital and the innovative potential of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The realization of the planned activities creates prerequisites for stable growth, increased competitiveness, and long-term development of the company and the entire economy.

Through this investment, the Federation of BiH confirms its commitment to strengthening its own security and industrial development, while simultaneously creating conditions for technological progress, new jobs, and the general prosperity of society.
