FBiH Government decides on distribution of 48 million KM to municipalities and cities

(Patria) - The FBiH Government, at today's emergency session, adopted the Decision on determining the method of distribution and procedure for allocating funds established by the FBiH budget for 2025 to the Federal Ministry of Finance from the economic code Capital transfers to other levels of government and funds - cantons and municipalities in the amount of 48,000,000 KM.

The Decision stipulates that funds in the amount of 48,000,000 KM will be allocated to municipalities and cities for financing and co-financing of projects, requests, and initiatives that will be implemented in local self-government units.

Funds will be allocated to municipalities and cities for financing and co-financing of projects, requests, and initiatives in the field of road and communal infrastructure, then for educational, sports, and cultural facilities and other facilities of importance to local self-government units, as well as for financing other activities of importance within the jurisdiction of local self-government units.

Upon the entry into force of this Decision, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will publish a Public Call for submitting applications for financing and co-financing of projects, requests, and initiatives.

The Public Call will be published on the website of the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and in daily newspapers.

Furthermore, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will form a Commission that will review and evaluate submitted projects, requests, and initiatives, and based on that, prepare a proposal of beneficiaries of the aforementioned funds, based on which the Federal Ministry of Finance will prepare a draft decision and submit it to the FBiH Government for consideration.

Based on this special decision, the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina will determine the final amounts of funds to be allocated to individual municipalities and cities, as well as the allocation dynamics and the method of reporting on the spent funds.

The Federal Ministry of Finance is responsible for the implementation of this Decision, and the Decision enters into force on the day of its adoption and will be published in the Official Gazette of FBiH.
