Government Decides: Tomorrow a Day of Mourning in the Federation

(Patria) - The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, at today's emergency session, adopted a Decision declaring March 18, 2025, a Day of Mourning in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina due to the tragedy in North Macedonia.

This decision is made to express condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims of the tragedy that occurred on March 15, 2025, in the town of Kočani in North Macedonia, when at least 59 people lost their lives in a fire.

The Day of Mourning shall be observed by mandatory flying of the flag of Bosnia and Herzegovina at half-mast, or on the flagpole, at the buildings of legislative, executive, and judicial authorities, public institutions, institutions, and other legal entities in the territory of the Federation of BiH.

On the Day of Mourning, cultural and entertainment programs cannot be held in public places in the Federation of BiH, and media houses in the territory of the Federation of BiH are obliged to harmonize and adapt their programming content to the Day of Mourning.
