(Patria) - From 9 to 11 September, citizens will be able to observe increased EUFOR activities during the day in urban areas of Čapljina, Livno, Orašje, Pazarić, Sarajevo, Tuzla and Zavidovići.
During the night hours, there will also be more intense activities at Sarajevo International Airport. These activities are part of the annual EUFOR exercise "Quick Response" which has been taking place across Bosnia and Herzegovina from 24 August to 16 September.
The purpose of this exercise is to demonstrate EUFOR's readiness and confirm its continued support for maintaining a safe and stable environment in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In carrying out this major training activity, EUFOR is supported by the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which have provided locations for the training.
EUFOR is taking all measures to minimise the impact of this exercise on the public. Local authorities and the population will be informed in a timely manner about the movements of EUFOR units in their vicinity, both through our Liaison and Observation Teams (LOT teams) and via press releases.
EUFOR is a strong, capable and reliable partner of Bosnia and Herzegovina and remains committed to supporting the authorities of Bosnia and Herzegovina in maintaining a safe and stable environment.
