(Patria) - Medical experts have concluded that Atif Dudaković, who is accused of crimes in several Krajina municipalities, is not capable of standing trial for health reasons, writes Detektor.
- In this condition, he is not capable of actively following and participating in the court proceedings, nor of adequately communicating with his defense counsel and creating a defense - stated neuropsychiatrist Rusmir Softić.
Softić, along with oncologist Hasan Osmić and cardiologist Larisa Dizdarević-Hudić, presented the findings on the health condition of the accused Dudaković, who was not present at the hearing.
Presiding Judge Željka Marenić set a deadline of seven days for the Prosecution and the Defense to comment on the expert findings and present their proposals.
Dudaković is accused in his capacity as commander of the Fifth Corps of the Army of BiH for crimes committed in the areas of Bosanski Petrovac, Ključ, Bosanska Krupa, and Sanski Most, including the murder of more than 300 people, persecution, and destruction of religious buildings.
He is on trial with Sanel Šabić, Ibrahim Šiljedić, Safet Salihagić, Adis Zjakić, Redžep Zlojić, Samir Solaković, Fatmir Muratović, Muharem Alešević, Edin Domazet, Ejub Koženjić, Ibrahim Nadarević, and Said Mujić.
The trial in this case was last held in September of last year.
