Since January 1, 2016, 54 patients with flu-like syndrome have been examined at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases of the UKCS. Of the 54 examined patients, 17 were hospitalized at this Clinic. Of the 17 hospitalized patients, the AH1N1 virus was found in 10 patients, Influenza A in 2 patients, and Influenza B in one patient.
The hospitalized patients are under the supervision of doctors and have been provided with adequate therapy.
The condition of patient S.I. from Zenica is extremely severe, and the patient is placed in the INTERNAL MEDICINE INTENSIVE CARE UNIT (IMICU). He is in a life-threatening condition.
