Vilić remains head of DKPT, BiH PS Independent Board did not accept Mektić's proposal for dismissal

The session of the Independent Board of the BiH Security Ministry has ended, and the request for the dismissal of Mirsad Vilić, director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, submitted by Dragan Mektić, Minister of Security of BiH, did not receive enough votes, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Žiko Krunić, chairman of the Independent Board of the BiH Security Ministry, said that this is a serious issue that the Independent Board will continue to address. He did not want to provide more information about the voting details.

At the session of the Independent Board of the BiH Security Ministry, which began today at 1:00 PM in the building of the BiH Parliament, the dismissal of Mirsad Vilić, director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, is being considered, based on the request of Dragan Mektić, Minister of Security of BiH, writes the Bosnian news agency Patria.

Mektić considers Vilić directly responsible for the incident at the Potočari Memorial Center on July 11, 2015, when Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vučić was attacked.

Vilić is not attending the session today, but his deputies Uroš Pena and Mile Jurić have come.
