(Patria) - The Parents' Council of Sarajevo Canton (KS) has expressed concern over a series of reports about bombs planted in schools. In this regard, a meeting between representatives of the Council and the Ministry of Education and Science of Sarajevo Canton will be held tomorrow.
"The latest reports of bombs in Sarajevo Canton schools have instilled fear and concern among parents, students, and teaching staff. It is regrettable that such incidents are recurring and undermining the sense of security in educational institutions, where our children spend a significant portion of their time," stated the KS Parents' Council.
They state that they are demanding that the competent institutions immediately take all necessary measures to ensure the safety of all students and employees in schools.
"Long-term solutions must be found to prevent such situations and enable the normal conduct of the educational process. We inform the public that the Parents' Council will have a meeting with the Ministry of Education and Science of Sarajevo Canton on October 15th, where we will address the issue of school safety and seek concrete steps and solutions for this pressing problem. We also call on other relevant ministries and the Government of Sarajevo Canton to actively engage in resolving this issue, as the safety of our children must be a priority for all competent institutions," they emphasize.
They call on all parents, students, and citizens to remain calm and place their trust in the work of the competent services. At the same time, they expect swift and concrete steps that will restore everyone's sense of security.
"Our children deserve a carefree education in a safe environment, and we are all responsible for that together. The KS Parents' Council will continue to actively monitor the situation and be the voice of parents in all further steps towards resolving this problem," they conclude.
