Council of Ministers extends mandates of Dumančić, Selimović and others

The mandates of Vinko Dumančić, Director of the BiH Border Police and his deputy, and Himzo Selimović, Director of the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies and his two deputies, and one deputy director of the BiH Agency for Investigations and Protection expire on March 9.

Around 20 applications were received for the six management positions in the Border Police, the Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies, and the BiH Agency for Investigations and Protection. However, the Independent Board of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH cannot practically function because a new composition of the Independent Board has been elected in the House of Representatives of the PS BiH. Since the House of Peoples has not had a quorum in the last two sessions, the appointment of new members to the Independent Board has not been confirmed.

As Žiko Krunić, president of the Independent Board, told the Patria News Agency, he believes that Dumančić and others will have their mandates extended until the procedure for appointing new directors and deputies is completed.

- The BiH Council of Ministers can do that. I haven't heard that they will actually do it, but what else is left for us. The session of the House of Peoples is scheduled for March 12, so we will see what happens next – says Krunić.

Otherwise, interviews with the candidates who applied for these positions have not yet been conducted. As NAP learns, the BiH Council of Ministers will extend the mandates of the directors and deputies for two months.
