(Patria) - The BiH Council of Ministers failed to adopt the Reform Agenda even at a new extraordinary telephone session.
Its adoption was a prerequisite for Bosnia and Herzegovina not to be further penalized by the withdrawal of funds from the Western Balkans Growth Plan.
Eight ministers supported the Reform Agenda today, while ministers from RS, Srđan Amidžić and Staša Košarac (both SNSD), did not even participate in the vote.
This broke the quorum for holding the session and once again blocked the adoption of the Reform Agenda, and Bosnia and Herzegovina unfortunately remains without an additional 108 million euros from the Growth Plan.
We remind you that during her recent visit to Sarajevo, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos warned that the Growth Plan, which currently amounts to nearly one billion euros, will be further reduced by 108 million euros if BiH does not submit the Reform Agenda by the end of September.
We already lost the aforementioned amount this summer.
The BiH Council of Ministers also issued a brief statement this evening, stating that there was no quorum for work and decision-making at the 61st extraordinary telephone session on the agenda, which included information on activities following the conclusion of the Council of Ministers from the 56th extraordinary telephone session, held on June 27, 2025, concerning the harmonization of the Reform Agenda text and the List of Reforms.
There were eight votes for the proposed agenda item, while two members of the BiH Council of Ministers did not vote, the statement added.
