Sarajevo, (PATRIA) - Jonquel Orthea Theresa Jones, born on January 5, 1994 in Freeport, Bahamas, has acquired citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Council of Ministers of BiH.
Jones is a professional, multi-awarded WNBA basketball player for the Connecticut Sun. Two years ago, she was drafted as the sixth pick.
The Bahamas Basketball Federation confirmed that Jones will no longer represent that country, as she has decided to play for Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This was also confirmed by the president of the Bahamas Basketball Federation, Charles Robins.
