Council of Ministers discusses Information on proceedings before the ECtHR and the 'Kovačević v. BiH' judgment

(Patria) - The 74th session of the Council of Ministers of BiH has been scheduled for today in Sarajevo, starting at 12:00 PM. The extensive agenda includes 50 items.

Among other things, state ministers are expected to consider the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on the Fundamentals of Road Traffic Safety in BiH, as well as the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Communications, proposed by the Ministry of Communications and Transport of BiH.

It is also planned to consider the Draft Law on the Protection of Trade Secrets as Intellectual Property Rights, the Draft Law on the Protection of Semiconductor Product Topographies, the Draft Law on Patents, the Draft Law on Trademarks, the Draft Law on Representation in the Field of Industrial Property Rights, and the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Industrial Design.

The aforementioned laws were proposed by the Institute for Intellectual Property of BiH.

Ministers are also expected to consider the Proposal of the Strategy for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons in BiH for the period 2025-2030 and the Action Plan for the Implementation of the Strategy for the period 2025-2027, proposed by the Ministry of Security of BiH.

This ministry has also proposed a new text for the Proposal of the Decision on the Obligation to Provide Biometric Data of Foreigners.

The Council of Ministers of BiH should also consider the new text of the Information on Statistical Indicators in Education in BiH for 2024, as well as the Information on the Application of the Decision on the Procedure for Harmonizing BiH Legislation with the EU Acquis for the period from January 1 to December 31, 2024.

The agenda should also include the Information on the Preparation of the Proposal of the Action Plan of the Council of Ministers of BiH for the Implementation of the Communication Strategy of BiH Institutions on the Process of BiH's Accession to the European Union - from Candidate Status to Membership for 2025 and the Proposal of the Action Plan of the Council of Ministers of BiH for the Implementation of the Communication Strategy of BiH Institutions on the Process of BiH's Accession to the European Union - from Candidate Status to Membership for 2025.

It is also planned to consider the Report on the Implementation of the Action Plan of the Council of Ministers of BiH for the Implementation of the Communication Strategy of BiH Institutions on the Process of BiH's Accession to the European Union - from Candidate Status to Membership for 2024.

A Report on the Work of the Coordination Body, the Expert Team, and the Legal Team regarding the issue of radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel disposal at the Čerkezovac site, Trgovska Gora, Dvor Municipality, Republic of Croatia, should also be considered.

The agenda also includes Information on the proceedings before the European Court of Human Rights and the judgment 'Kovačević v. Bosnia and Herzegovina', proposed by the Office of the Agent of the Council of Ministers of BiH before the European Court of Human Rights.

Under the designation 'confidential', ministers are expected to consider the Report on the participation of members of the Armed Forces of BiH and police officers in peacekeeping operations in the period from July 1 to December 31, 2024.
