
The BiH Council of Ministers today, at its first session in the new convocation, adopted individual decisions on the appointment of the chairperson and members of the Committee for Internal Policy and the Committee for Economy of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of implementing the Law on the Council of Ministers of BiH and creating conditions for efficient work, reports the Patria News Agency.
The Committee for Internal Policy will be chaired by the Minister of Security Dragan Mektić, and his deputy will be the Minister of Civil Affairs Adil Osmanović, while the members of the Committee are the Minister of Defence Marina Pendeš, the Minister of Human Rights and Refugees Semiha Borovac, the Minister of Justice Josip Grubeša, the Director of the Directorate for European Integration Nevenka Savić, and the Director of the Legislative Office Dragan Podinić.
The Committee for Economy will be chaired by the Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda, while his deputy is the Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, who is also the Deputy Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers. The members appointed to this committee are the Minister of Communications and Transport Slavko Matanović, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Crnadak, the Director of the Directorate for European Integration Nevenka Savić, and the Director of the Legislative Office Dragan Podinić.
The chairpersons of the committees and their deputies rotate in the position of chairperson on an annual basis, and in the absence of a minister at a committee session, the deputy minister shall substitute.
According to the Law on the Council of Ministers of BiH, before discussion at a session of the Council of Ministers, all issues within the jurisdiction of the ministries that are part of the committees must be discussed at committee sessions beforehand.
The BiH Council of Ministers has appointed the representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina in international financial institutions: the World Bank (WB), the International Monetary Fund (IMF), and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD): World Bank, governor - Chairperson of the Council of Ministers Dr. Denis Zvizdić, and deputy governor is the Minister of Justice of BiH Josip Grubeša;
International Monetary Fund (IMF), governor - Deputy Chairperson of the BiH Council of Ministers and Minister of Finance and Treasury Vjekoslav Bevanda, and his deputy is the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH Igor Crnadak;
European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, governor - Deputy Chairperson of the Council of Ministers and Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Šarović, and the deputy governor is the Minister of Civil Affairs Adil Osmanović, it was announced from the BiH Council of Ministers.
