(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today's session adopted the Draft Framework Budget Document for BiH Institutions for the period 2026–2028, as well as the Draft Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2026.
Support for the draft budget was unanimous, and the Minister of Finance of BiH, Srđan Amidžić from SNSD, also voted for its adoption. The draft now goes to the BiH Presidency, which is the formal proposer of the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations.
The budget framework proposed by the state Minister of Finance, Srđan Amidžić (SNSD), amounts to 1.58 billion KM and envisages significant financial strengthening of numerous state institutions.
Thus, the budget of the Ministry of Defence of BiH has been increased by 43 million KM, the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) by 17 million, and the BiH Border Police by 13 million KM. The Intelligence-Security Agency (OSA) of BiH is expected to receive nine million KM more, while the budgets of the Court of BiH and the Prosecutor's Office of BiH have been increased by five and four million KM, respectively.
If the BiH Presidency has certain requests and amendments, the budget will be returned for corrections.
