Council of Europe and BiH CEC Train the Trainers of the Election Process

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - Within the joint project of the Council of Europe and the Central Election Commission of BiH titled "Training of Trainers of Election Commissions" in Sarajevo today concludes a three-day training, which will continue in five more cities: Teslić, Banja Luka, Brčko, Mostar, and Zenica.

The Council of Europe is implementing this activity within its project "Support for Strengthening the Integrity and Inclusivity of the Electoral Process," and the specific training will result in an increased pool of highly qualified personnel, i.e., trainers for the election administration in BiH, primarily for polling station committees.

In addition to members of the Central Election Commission of BiH, Dr. Ahmet Šantić and Mr. Vlado Rogić, who served as lecturers, Mr. Pavo Radoš, Deputy Chief Prosecutor of Brčko District BiH, also attended and actively participated in the training of around 40 participants in Sarajevo. Mr. Radoš spoke on the topic of "Misdemeanor and Criminal Liability" of polling station committee members in the electoral process.

The Central Election Commission of BiH once again thanks the Council of Europe for its long-standing cooperation and support in the work of the Central Election Commission of BiH, which is reflected in all available aspects and modalities.
