Due to the large number of tourists arriving both by private cars and a large number of buses, the parking area was expanded last year.

Activities are underway on the preparation of the Expert Justification for the declaration of the Kravica Waterfall and part of the Trebižat River as a protected area.

One of the key goals of the Federal Environmental Protection Strategy 2022–2032 is to increase the area of protected areas in the Federation of BiH. This activity is in line with the measure to establish new protected areas and identify areas under other effective area-based conservation measures, which aims to conserve and protect at least 50 percent of the habitats of species from the Red List of the Federation of BiH, protect nature in accordance with the EU acquis, international agreements and the Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework – explained by the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism.

The declaration of this area as a protected natural area will ensure its
long-term preservation, but also improve the quality of the tourist offer in accordance with the principles
of sustainable development.
