(Patria) - The Bosnia and Herzegovina national football team defeated Wales last night in a dramatic match after a better penalty shootout.
After 1:1 in regular 90 minutes, and then in the following 30 minutes of extra time, our footballers advanced after a better penalty shootout.
During the TV broadcast, cameras showed a man in the stands who was praying for the Dragons' victory.
His photograph quickly spread across social networks, and soon it was revealed who the man in the stands was.
It is Elvedin Šečić, a native of Bugojno who has been living in Norway for some time.
This was written by Edin Mezit, the chief imam of the Islamic Community of Bosniaks in Norway.
"A memorable image: a member of the community from Norway, Elvedin Šečić (Bugojno), recites a prayer for victory. And then a man from Bugojno scores the decisive penalty," wrote Imam Mezit.
Interestingly, the winning goal for Bosnia and Herzegovina was scored by Kerim Alajbegović, whose parents are originally from Bugojno.
