VIDEO Prosecution investigating, drone filmed machines at quarry

(Patria) - News of the catastrophic floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina has echoed around the world.

The Prosecutor's Office of the Herzegovina-Neretva Canton has formed a case, with the aim of investigating the causes of the tragedy in Donja Jablanica. A team of prosecutors has been appointed to work, with a special emphasis on the business and activities of the quarry located in Donja Jablanica.

After four satellite photos taken between 2018 and August of this year proved that granite was illegally exploited from the quarry above Donja Jablanica, drone footage showing machines is now arriving.

In the new drone video footage by Nermin Leto, excavators/machines can be seen at minute 03:15 - 03:25 in the quarry itself.

Istraga.ba had previously managed to document machines that were active in the quarry, which, according to the Prime Minister of the Federation, had been “closed for the last four years”, using Google Earth. It was precisely in this quarry, due to heavy rainfall, that an accumulation formed, triggering a stone avalanche that crashed down on houses in Donja Jablanica.
