(VIDEO) Travnik has a reason to be proud: A story that changes the lives of people with disabilities

(Patria) - The association "Sreća za sve" (Happiness for all) from Travnik originated from the personal struggle of its founder Emina Softić and the deep need to provide parents and people with disabilities with what they often need most, which is understanding, support, and opportunity. Today, this story is growing into an example of how dignified and equal lives can be built with the right support.

With the help of the Fund for Professional Rehabilitation and Employment of Persons with Disabilities, the Association has enabled employment for 15 people with disabilities, many of whom had their first work experience. For the beneficiaries, it was a step towards self-confidence, a sense of worth, and belonging to the community.

Through work-occupational therapy programs, such as working in greenhouses and laser engraving, members of the Association prove daily that, when given the opportunity, people with disabilities can and want to contribute actively. These programs bring economic benefits, but also space for socializing, learning, and a sense of equality, which is what makes life fulfilling.
