(Patria) - Following the reaction of Sarajevo Canton authorities this morning, a sign reading "Welcome to East Sarajevo, a city of 157,000 Serbs who had to leave Sarajevo" was removed after it was determined that it was located in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina entity.
It wasn't long before Ljubiša Ćosić, the mayor of East Sarajevo, reacted, stating that he would demand that the cantonal authorities return the removed sign to East Sarajevo.
A Patria team also visited other locations where identical signs were placed, which are now being guarded by RS Ministry of Internal Affairs patrols. These shameful signs were placed at a total of four locations. A criminal complaint has also been filed against the mayor of East Sarajevo, Ljubiša Ćosić, because of this.

We remind you that the Stari Grad Police Department submitted an act to the Cantonal Administration for Inspection Affairs (KUIP) of Sarajevo Canton, informing them that checks were carried out at the location where the sign was placed and that the parcel is located within the territory of Sarajevo Canton, i.e., the FBiH.
The removal of the sign was attended by the Minister of Communal Economy, Infrastructure, Spatial Planning, Construction and Environmental Protection of Sarajevo Canton, Almir Bečarević.
