Video: Arrival of the German Army in BiH in 1941

An interesting video was published today by an unknown author on the video channel “youtube”, writes the news agency Patria. The video shows parts of BiH and the arrival of the German army, as well as BiH citizens from that period.

Otherwise, World War II in the territory of BiH was divided into German and Italian spheres of interest, and lasted from 1941 to 1945. The war in the territory of the entire former Yugoslavia can generally be divided into 3 phases:

in the 1st phase, communists raise a mass uprising against the fascist occupier in Serbia and Montenegro. The uprising was crushed by the end of 1941.

in the 2nd phase, which lasts until the approach of the Soviet army to the borders of Yugoslavia in mid-1944, the partisan army wages a mostly exhausting guerrilla war in the territory of BiH and Croatia. The main enemies are, in addition to German and Italian units, the military formations of the NDH and Draža Mihailović's Chetniks.

- in the 3rd phase, supported by the Soviet army, Tito's Yugoslav army conducts final operations to destroy enemy forces, and completely takes control of the territory of Yugoslavia.
